World Health Day – April 7
World Health Day is celebrated every year on April 7, and this year’s theme is “Healthy beginnings, hopeful futures”.
Every woman deserves support in maintaining a healthy pregnancy and birth, and society and health systems should ensure better postnatal care for every mother and newborn.
World Health Day commemorates April 7, 1948, when the world’s countries came together to establish the World Health Organization to promote health, keep the world safe and serve the vulnerable, so that everyone, everywhere, can achieve the highest possible level of health.
