On 22 March 2020, a series of devastating earthquakes that hit Zagreb badly damaged the buildings and educational and research facilities of the University of Zagreb School of Medicine (MEF), the oldest medical educational institution in the Republic of Croatia with a continuous centennial tradition.

The damaged buildings and facilities comprise educational facilities, the medical library, lecture and seminar rooms, as well as laboratories both for research projects and professional activities, which will all have to be closed for a considerable period of time for the above-mentioned activities.

Since the extent of the damage by far exceeds our internal capacity to restore the School to its normal life, we are calling upon all the Zagreb alumni, collaborating partner institutions, companies, friends, and all others who are willing to help rebuild the Zagreb School of Medicine by their donations.
