Prestigious Certificate for Quality Assurance in Internationalisation

The quality of studies at the Medical Studies in English program (MSE) has recently been recognized by the European Consortium of Accreditation, who has awarded the Zagreb MSE program with the CEQUINT Certificate based upon an international audit.

By a successful participation in two pilot projects run by the Croatian Agency for Higher Education (AZVO), the University of Zagreb School of Medicine (UZSM) has become the Croatian center of excellence for quality assurance in the European higher education area (awarded in 2013), and for quality assurance in internationalisation awarded in 2015 for its MSE program. Thus the UZSM can boast of being the first, and for the time being the only, educational establishment from the area of Biomedicine which was awarded the prestigious CEQUINT Certificate by the European Consortium for Accreditation after a rigorous evaluation process and an international audit. The MSE program, which has been running continuously for 11 years, currently has 250 full-time students from 29 countries all over the world, ranging from Europe, Israel, Canada, USA, and Australia. The national program of medical studies, which has been running for 97 years, currently has 1,700 full-time students . The UZSM also offers three doctoral programs (including an international one offered in English), as well as more than fifty postgraduate professional programs, attended currently by 630 students.
