NeuroData – Joint Master Degree Programme in Brain and Data Science
School of Medicine and Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing University of Zagreb participate as partners in the implementation of the project "Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree in Brain and Data Science - NeuroData". The project team leaders of our constituents are professor Melita Šalković-Petrišić, PhD School of Medicine and professor Mario Cifrek, PhD Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing.
The coordinator is the Bar Ilan University from Israel (Bar-Ilan University), and in addition to the University of Zagreb, the partners are universities in the Netherlands (Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam), Portugal (Universidade de Lisboa - Instituto Superior Técnico), Italy (University of Padua) and Finland (University of Jyväskylä).
Within the framework of the Erasmus+ program, the Erasmus Mundus scheme (EMJM) is a mark of EXCELLENCE in the teaching process of higher education institutions that jointly implement and mutually recognize EMJM transnational study programs. The University of Zagreb is the only Croatian higher education institution that offers the largest number of EMJM joint graduate studies that have been approved for this very competitive type of financing.
EMJM are programs of excellence and should contribute to the integration and internationalization of the European area of higher education. The specificity of EMJM is based on the high degree of integration among the participating institutions and on the excellence of their academic content. EMJM strives to increase the attractiveness and excellence of European higher education in the world and attract talents to Europe, through:
- institutional academic cooperation for the purpose of presenting European excellence in higher education and
- individual mobilities for all students participating in EMJM, with scholarships financed by the EU for the best students who apply.
