International Symposium on Teaching in Medical Education: How to Teach Human Anatomy Effectively, September 27-28, 2024
The International Symposium on Teaching in Medical Education: How to Teach Human Anatomy Effectively will be held on Friday and Saturday, September 27 and 28, 2024, at the University of Zagreb School of Medicine (Miroslav Čačković Hall, Šalata 3).
During the symposium, the results of the ERASMUS+ project "Lean in Medical Education: Reaching for Quality Management Tools to Teach Human Anatomy Effectively in a Multicultural and Multilingual Learning Space" (LEANBODY) will be presented. Anatomy teachers from the University of Cambridge, Masaryk University in Brno, University of Pécs, and the University of Zagreb along with educational skills development experts from the Teaching and Learning educational unit of Karolinska Institute will give lectures and participate in round table discussions on teaching methods and the challenges faced by higher education teachers.
Anatomy is a fundamental course in the education of future doctors, which, in terms of content and demands, surpasses many other courses in medical studies. The challenges faced by educators, both in teaching methods and approaches tailored to the "digital" (new) generation of students entering higher education, can be particularly well illustrated on the example of anatomy. Therefore, we believe that this symposium can contribute to the improvement of teaching competencies for educators across various courses and study programs.
The program is available via link and a QR code, and all those who wish to attend the lectures, participate in discussions at the roundtables, and share their experiences with other symposium participants are kindly asked to register via the provided hyperlinks or QR code.
