Erasmus+ Clinical & Research Traineeships in EU and programme countries – 2nd Call
Deadlines: it is recommended to apply as soon as possible;
Final deadline: 15 January 2027
We are pleased to inform you that the University of Zagreb has opened the 2nd round of calls for applications for the Erasmus+ student clinical or research traineeships (duration of 2 months at a minimum) in the academic year 2026/2027 in the EU and programme countries - Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, North Macedonia, Serbia i Turkey.
The final deadline is 15 January 2027, but please see the text of the call for an overview of interim deadlines and result dates.
When can the traineeship happen?
The call is open for graduate and postgraduate students who wish to start their traineeship in the period from 22 February 2027 to 30 July 2027 (more details in the call itself) and finish it by 30 September 2027 at the latest, that is:
- During the summer – when you don’t have any classes scheduled
- As part (or whole) of the 6th-year Clinical Rotations course, but remember:
1. You and the receiving institution have to complete both sets of paperwork - for the Clinical Rotations course AND the Erasmus+ traineeship. The Clinical Rotations course has its own deadlines and procedures that you have to follow.
2. The part of the Clinical Rotations course for which you apply for the Erasmus+ traineeship/funding has to last for at least 2 months and it has to be in one institution (different departments are fine).
The call could be closed earlier (depending on the number of applications and availability of funds) so it is recommended to apply as soon as possible, that is immediately upon finding a host institution and receiving the Acceptance Confirmation document.
The Erasmus+ monthly stipend is 650 or 700 euro per month depending on the host country. Students with fewer opportunities (e.g. having permanent residence more than 30 km away from Šalata 3, Zagreb, Croatia; more information and other categories in Dodatak II on the website) are eligible for additional 250 euro per month.
Application documents:
a. Letter of ECTS coordinator (you have to complete the 1st page and write a motivational letter, in Croatian or English) – once you complete the required sections, please send it to jasna.turkovic@mef.hr who will give it to the ECTS coordinator for signing, it takes approx. a week to get the signature
b. Proof of enrolment and transcript of grades (in Croatian)
c. Acceptance Confirmation – the document has to be signed and stamped by the hospital, not its university (in cases of university hospitals)
d. Language certificate of the language specified in the Acceptance Confirmation (B1 level at the minimum)
e. Proof of status of student with fewer opportunities (Dodatak II on the website)
Application documents have to be uploaded directly to the online application, but to ensure the success of your application, please e-mail all the documents to the International Relations Office (jasna.turkovic@mef.hr) at least one week before you plan on applying so that we can check that everything is correct.
The selection criteria for Erasmus+ traineeships is on first-come, first-served basis - if everything is correct with the application and there are enough funds, your application will be approved by the University of Zagreb
